| Bio: | I change daily depending on my mood, the food I eat, the people I talk to, the things I do, the movies I watch, the music I listen to, and any other small, mundane, or magnificent event my life may bring. I'm a feminist, always have been, and it has a significant influence on how I live my life. I'm an ally to all who identify with being queer. I've been married to my best friend since June 2002. Recently, we moved to Ohio so Carlo could start his doctorate in psychology. I am a social worker hoping to get my masters in the near future. I thought I would become a Lutheran paster until I realized Christianity doesn't work for me. Ever since, I have been on an adventurous spiritual quest exploring many paths. I love good conversation, books, music, thoughtful people, animals of all kinds, nature, movies, spicy Mexican food, Indian food, art and icecream. I'm passionate about social justice issues and protecting the environment. Politically, I'm almost as far left as one can get. I love art, I love to create art. I'm interested in all aspects of art and sometimes it intimidates me. I spent a semester taking art classes and hated it because it was too limited. I continue to struggle to find ways to express myself creatively and I'm not in a place to share my art with others...yet. I hope to someday! I also LOVE to sing. I tried to be an opera singer for a day and I loved it. I love the powerful sound my voice can make but I have a hard time identifying with other people who love to sing opera. And, even though I appreciate it, I find operas boring. I continue to struggle to find ways to use my voice in a real way. I aspire to be a vegetarian or even a vegan but there are too many days that I crave a juicy hamburger and cookie dough icecream. I do my best to eat organic, free range, pesticide free foods as often as possible. I'm open minded, I do my best not to judge others, even if they LOVE George bush! I am interested in hearing your story, the story of who you are and how you came to be what you are this moment. I'm interested in knowing people as they grow into themselves! |
